Cd Projekt RED will finally release Cyberpunk 2077
“Would you rather live in peace as Mr. Nobody… or go down for all times in a blaze of glory?”
The Polish software house Cd Projekt RED, engaged in the production of video games and known for the famous The Witcher, has recently released the launch trailer for a new video game. The video announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will finally be available on December 10. The long wait lasted 8 years and it took 3 postponements to reach the final launch of the awaited game this Christmas. The release is scheduled for tomorrow and the game will be available for Playstation, PC, Stadia and Xbox devices.
The first-person role-playing game takes us to a multifaceted America, is set in the damned city of Nigh City, “a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification” in which the mix between Tokyo at night, Strange Days and cyberpunk literature makes this stage a place full of details.
Cyberpunk show us a story set in 2077 in which America, that has achieved technological excellence, has now become a land disputed among hackers, outlaws and large corporations and its inhabitants are drastically divided into social classes. The city has its own currency, eddie, a diminutive for the euro dollar. At this point V gets in the game, he is our alter ego, a thug mercenary with cybernetic features who has the important task of finding and stealing an immortality chip, he owns a wide variety of weapons and the player can define V’s social and distinctive nature by choosing one of the three available life-paths (nomad, street kid or corporate).
The game map, unlike many others, has a really huge extension, and the player could get lost very easily. According to the various data, the user will complete the main mission and all the secondary ones in more than 100 hours. The adventure of the new Cyberpunk 2077 would therefore be able to keep busy the many players who have been waiting for the announcement of the Polish house for almost 10 years without losing hope.
According to the various reports, the CD Projekt RED budget used for the idea, the creation and all the improvements to realise the long-awaited title of all time, would have reached and exceeded 100 million euros. So now we just have to wait and see if the most anticipated video game ever released before will be able to meet and exceed the expectations of the millions of players who in recent years were interested in following all the video game company’s updates.
