Since apps were invented, the way we interface with technological devices has totally changed and, as they have spread more and more, also did the way we deal with every aspect of our daily life. As a matter of fact, now there are apps for everything: to order groceries for delivery, to check our health, to increase our productivity, even to remind us to drink. Many are very useful and they help us simplify small and big daily tasks. Anyone who has a cat or a dog knows very well that in addition to activities related to their person there are those intended for the care and needs of our furry friends. Technology doesn’t forget anyone: there are, in fact, a series of applications designed specifically for them. Here are some.

DogWalk

An indispensable task that dog owners decide to undertake when adopting a puppy is to take them out for a walk, at least two or three times a day. In addition to fulfilling their needs, the walk is also a way to maintain their physical and mental well-being and to let them brun off surplus energies that they would otherwise use to destroy the house. Dog Walk is ideal for monitoring and tracking walks. Distance, route and duration are recorded so that you can be sure to keep the dog in constant exercise. You can also take and save photos to have memories of the moments spent together.

It is one of the most complete apps as it is very feature rich. Furthermore, it is free, it has an intuitive interface and it is available for both IOS and Android. It is a sort of diary where you can keep track of everything about your furry friend. There is a form to fill with all the data of your animal, such as the information concerning the health record. In this way you can keep an eye on the intervals between the booster doses of vaccines, on the appointments at the vet, on the medicines you need to give him. There is also a section dedicated to nutrition where you can insert reminders to remind you to stock up when  canned food or croquettes are about to run out.

Dog Training & Clicker by Dogo

This app presents a training program to help you teach your dog good manners. There are six programs to choose from, depending on your needs: there is the basic rules course, the one to strengthen the friendship with your loyal friend, the one to make him a real helper. The app comes with sample videos, interesting articles and engaging challenges. Once your dog seems to have learned the command, you can make a video and send it, via the app, to one of the certified trainers who will watch it and tell you what you need to change if necessary.
