Trend Micro fortifies organizational AI security landscape

Trend Micro, a global cybersecurity specialist, has incorporated new and significant artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities into its cybersecurity platform. The aim is to safeguard organizational use of AI and to manage associated risks more effectively amidst the widespread adoption of AI tools.

With these recent innovations available in Trend Vision One – Zero Trust Secure Access (ZTSA), Trend intends to reaffirm the company’s leadership as the foremost security provider focusing on protecting AI services and the people utilizing them within businesses.

Among the innovations are:

• Centralized management of employee access and usage of AI applications
• Timely inspection to prevent data breaches and malicious actions
• Content filtering to meet compliance requirement
• Defence against Large Language Model (LLM) attacks

Trend Micro emphasizes that these new capabilities in Trend Vision One, built on years of AI usage to protect clients, help manage the risks associated with AI usage. These additions complement proven features to contextualize alerts and decode complex scripts, fuelling threat hunting queries that can help eliminate credential phishing attempts, provide tailored response actions, and much more.

Trend experts have provided insights to the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on potential revisions to the Zero Trust Maturity Model (ZTMM), aimed at helping organizations ensure emerging technological integrations within projects. Additionally, Trend has signed the “Tech Accord to Combat Deceptive Use of AI in 2024 Elections”, pledging to combat disinformation.
